Single Wave Study

General Information

Title
Part 2: the views of managers
Project Number
108.2
Abstract
This is part 2 of the study ‘Changing images of older workers’.
The aim of this research is to describe attitudes towards older workers and to study selection decisions with respect to older workers.

This part consists of a questionnaire for managers.
Longitudinal Type
Single Wave Study
Begin date
07-01-2013
End date
26-02-2013
Note
The selection for this study (variable ig001) consists of:

1. panel members who participated in the similar study bx10a in 2010, based on previously provided information that they hold a management position at work2

2. panel members who did not participate in the study bx10a in 2010, but for whom the household box reports that they hold a management position.

This second group was presented two selection questions on whether they hold a management position and whether, in the past ten years, they had to make decisions regarding the recruitment and selection of personnel. Respondents who responded negatively to both questions were excluded from the rest of the questionnaire and are not included in this dataset (or in the gross sample). This applied to 126 panel members.
