Privatization and corporatization
Single Wave Study
General Information
Title
Privatization and corporatization
Project Number

Abstract
The principal aim of this study is to examine how the Dutch think about privatization and corporatization.
Longitudinal Type
Single Wave Study
Begin date
02-02-2012
End date
21-03-2012
Note
As there were (virtually) no singles among the invited household members, an invitation was sent to 997 panel members living singly in the week of 15 to 21 March. Of this group, 594 participants fully completed the questionnaire. From this sample, 527 panel members were chosen at random and added to the February random sample. This was done to make the distribution within the sample correspond as much as possible to the distribution within the entire LISS panel, with regard to the variable ‘number of members per household’ (see table below).
See below ‘Intro Information Table’
The variable fz12a_m indicates whether the respondent completed the questionnaire in February or in March.
Change to the questionnaire
At the commissioning client’s request, the selection for question fz12a058 was expanded for the measurement among single respondents (taken in March). In February, the question was only asked if the answer to question fz12a057 was ‘yes’ (and the respondent was part of group C). The question was formulated as follows: What would you advise the inhabitants to do? In March, fz12a058 was also asked if the answer to fz12a057 was ‘no’ (and the respondent was part of group C). The formulation was then: Why do you think that there is nothing the inhabitants can do about it?
